Neil Shaw, 34, of Carlyle Grove, Leigh, appeared before a Bolton judge to plead guilty to two counts of robbery and one of possessing an offensive weapon.

But he denied committing a further three robberies, three more counts of possessing an offensive weapon, a burglary and a count of causing actual bodily harm. He was remanded in custody pending the start of his trial at the same court on July 14.
