A Wigan man has admitted racially abusing a neighbour.

Sean Breheny, 52, of Bankwood, Appley Bridge, stood before borough justices charged with causing Ketsaraporn Smith racially-motivated harassment, alarm or distress. He had originally denied it, but before a trial began he changed his plea to guilty. Restraining orders forbid Breheny contact with Ms Smith or Peter Kay until July 17 and he must also pay £349 in costs, a fine and victim surcharge.
