A Wigan woman has admitted to making a hoax 999 call.

Kathleen Mulvaney, 52, of Douglas House, Scholes, appeared before Wigan magistrates to making up a fake fire emergency to a call-taker.

She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £21 victim surcharge.
