Gemma Edwards initially denied assaulting Darren Thomas in Bolton on the night of December 20 and 21 2019 but later changed her plea to guilty.

As well as the 18-month discharge which was imposed by Wigan magistrates 32-year-old Edwards, of Liverpool Road in Hindley, must pay £125 comprising a victim services surcharge and court costs.

No compensation was ordered because none had been requested.
