Police probe after man is stabbed and woman is assaulted in Wigan
The emergency services were called to Norley Hall Avenue, in Norley Hall, shortly before 1.30am on Friday to reports that two people had been stabbed.

Hide AdBoth were admitted to hospital. The woman was treated for minor injuries but the man is still in a critical condition.
Police have launched an investigation and would like to hear from anyone with information about the attacks.
Det Ch Insp Clare Devlin, from Greater Manchester Police's Wigan division, said: “My thoughts are with the victim as he is treated in hospital for his injuries, I wish him a speedy recovery.
“I would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attack or may know anyone who was involved.

“We have extra patrols in the area and anyone with any questions, concerns or information should speak to those officers.”
